What’s the Objective?
With the recent release of the SLSC Roadmap containing 15 Recommendations for accelerating the deployment of LED street lighting and smart controls across Australia, there is an immediate need to engage in dialogue with key decision makers to establish the agreed Implementation Plan attaching to each of these recommendations.
How will this happen?
IPWEA will be hosting “Chatham House Rules” discussions facilitated by our international keynote speakers who will bring their unique experience to assist workshop participants to explore, debate and reach consensus on the best solution to achieve the implementation of the recommendations.
Instead of IPWEA conducting an expensive and time consuming ‘roadshow of consultation across Australia’ we are seeking to bring the key decision makers to these Masterclasses to take advantage of the intellectual prowess and guidance from our overseas experts who have “been there and done that.” These Masterclasses will be facilitated by IPWEA’s SLSC Advisors, themselves experts in these fields.
Only the agreed outcomes from each Masterclass workshop will be reported on – not the views expressed during the workshop.
Do I have to attend the conference or can I just attend the Masterclasses?
Attendances at these Masterclass workshops will be limited to around forty people per session to enable open and frank exchange of ideas and solution development. There is no pre-requisite to attend the conference, though for most people this will be highly advantageous. We want decision makers at these Masterclasses and we want you to speak openly and in confidence so that the best solutions can be identified and worked-up.
In order to contribute to discussion at the contemporary level and to gain the most from advancing the Recommendations in the SLSC Roadmap it is in delegates’ best interest to have read the Roadmap prior to attending the Masterclass workshops. Download the Roadmap here: www.slsc.org.au
